I loved Calf Roping and this book! I love Calf Roping alot!

I am probably a traveller of this book and it is in my heart & my blood.

I would love to do calf roping everywhere at a rodeo including The Calgary Stampede, Aspen Colorado, Montana, Texas, Wyoming, Nevada in Las, Vegas & The Kissimmee Rodeo in Florida.

The rodeo in Las, Vegas Nevada I would do it in is The NFR National Finals Rodeo at The Thomas & Mack Center and it is called The Wrangler NFR.

This book reminds me of You Can Teach Youself Mandolin book by Dix Bruce & other ones!

Someday when I be a cowboy I will rope holstien, angus, herefords & other kinds.

I love this book!

I love calf roping and I love this book.
Iloved that somebody wrote a book about calf roping and the person that did is one of my rodeo heros. It's a wonderful book to learn about calf roping and could not have been written by a better person.

The Cancer Book: A Guide to Understanding the Causes, Prevention, and Treatment of Cancer
Published in Textbook Binding by Jones & Bartlett Pub (09 April, 1993)
Author: Geoffrey M., Ph.D. Cooper
Average review score:

A superb book!
This book was very easy to understand (even though I haven't taken much biology yet) and very informative, even though it is somewhat old (1993). Very good as an introduction to cancer biology. I'd recommend this to anyone curious about cancer biology. As this book also includes information that would be useful for cancer patients and their families, I'd recommend it to them as well.

Well written, easy to understand, and informative!
This book takes a complex topic and clearly explains it in terms those outside the medical community can clearly understand and comprehend. A long overdue accomplishment!!!

The Chinese Language for Beginners.
Published in Paperback by Charles E Tuttle Co (August, 1971)
Author: Lee. Cooper
Average review score:

Just Get A Kid
This booklet is geared for children but is ideal for the adult who wants to team up with a youngster to learn a few basic Chinese characters. Approximately forty simple characters are introduced along with instruction on how to read Chinese sentences. Storybook- type illustrations are reminiscent of those found in fairy-tale books and the English explanations, which are usually accompanied with a brief story, are written such that a second-grader can easily follow along. Particularly enjoyable were the explanations on why some of the characters are written the way they are. There is also instruction on how the Chinese words are spoken.

If you want a quickie tour of some basic Chinese characters try Julie Mazel Sussman's "I Can Read That." Her pocketbook teaches you how to recognize 71 Chinese characters that are frequently encountered by tourists. But if you have a young son or daughter, or grandchild, and would like to explore this beautiful language together them this book is definitely the one you want.

Very helpful
when i frist saw this book i didnt think it was going to be helpful so i kept looking around for books to hepl me learn. But one day when i was in a book store i saw it and fliped through it, and saw that it looked helpful and had all the information you would need to learn some of the basic chinese characters.I highly sugest getting this book if you are looking to learn to wright Chinese.

The Complete Films of Gary Cooper
Published in Paperback by Lyle Stuart (October, 1983)
Author: Homer Dickens
Average review score:

The perfect reference book for fans of Gary Cooper's films
I bought this book in the fall of 1975 and after nearly 25 years, still find it hard to put down once I pick it up.

Brief overview
Read this book some 20 years ago. Found it rare among this series in that -- A), it was at times critical of both Cooper and some of his films; and B), it was filled with both positive and negatives from critics at the time of each film's release. As I said, rare for this series. Recently went to purchase it for a friend, and found out it is unavavilable? Why!?!

The Comte De St. Germain: The Secret of Kings
Published in Paperback by Book Tree (February, 2000)
Authors: I. Cooper-Oakley, Paul Tice, and Annie Wood Besant
Average review score:

Detailed account of St. Germains life in Europe
This book is valuable for those who are searching for the practical life and evidence of Comte de St. Germain. An immortal who is still very active in the world today.

"The Man Who Does Not Die..."
Cooper-Oakley's biography on Comte de St. Germain is the first biographical sketch written about this enigmatic character. Called by Frederick the Great "The man who does not die" Saint Germain was said to possess the Elixir of Life, and to be virtually immortal. Germain was the friend, confident, and spy of European rulers for a generation. Two hundred years after his disappearance from the scene of politics, his reputation as an emissary from the Invisible Brotherhood intrigues us even more. While there is a definite Theosophical spin to her work, Cooper-Oakley's "Comte de St. German" remains to this day seminal reading for those interested in this "Unknown Superior" of Western Esotericism - Freemasonry and Rosicrucianism in particular - almost a century after it was written. A very good book and well worth reading by any one interested in the mysterious occult forces behind history. Jean Overton-Fuller's historical biography on Comte de Saint Germain is a fine follow-up to this one.

Counseling and Mental Health Services on Campus : A Handbook of Contemporary Practices and Challenges
Published in Hardcover by Jossey-Bass (September, 1998)
Authors: James Archer and Stewart Cooper
Average review score:

Every college counselor needs this one!
I've been working as a college counselor for two years. This book was published just in time to help me get through the don't-know-what-to-do panic period at the start. It introduses to the readers what a college counseling center is look like, and covers nearly every aspect of a college counselor can do. The book's many suggestions and guidlines are based solidly on college student development theories and research findings. But there are not just theories and numbers, but many real program examples which you can modify and use in your work! I especially appreciate Ch. 8 & 9, which emphasize counselors' role as a activist to promote the environmental changes and to facilitate multicultural diversity. Many people misunderstand that counselors only sit in the air-conditioning room talking to people. In fact, some clients' dificulities are largely related to the dysfunction of the whole school systems or some unhealthy cultural beliefs thet exists among students, faculty, and administrators. Counselors need to take a more proactive stance to change the situation. I become more motivated and proud of being a college counselor after reading this book. Even today, when I face some work problem, I still take this book out for a reference!

Very much needed book.
This book covers traditional programming for campus counseling & mental health services practices and points the way to needed innovative program development. The authors strongly emphasize thoughtful program development that is student development focused. This should be required reading for all considering a career in campus counseling & for those doing contemporary programming in this vital area, including administrators. Clyde A. Crego, PhD

Death Plus Ten Years

Author: Roger Cooper
Average review score:

Amazing!
I've only read half of the book, but even that was enough to astound me. I discovered the book whilst staying in an apartment near Barcelona. It is owned by Cooper himself and I had the great privilige to meet Roger during my stay. He is a truly incredible person, and the tea he took my family out to was one to remember. I HAVE shook his hand, and think that what he has been through is unlike any experience I have ever been through. Definitely a must-have book (I'm getting it for Christmas and so should you!).

Death plus ten years
If you only read one book a Year, this is a must for this Year.
What a man , He has been there , done it and wrote the book.
This is a book for the "real reader".
If you ever find Roger Cooper, ( he must be in Europe?).Please let me know, I would love to shake his hand.I will say nothing about the book , JUST BUY IT !!!!Enough said

Debates With Devils: What Swedenborg Heard in Hell
Published in Paperback by Swedenborg Foundation (April, 1900)
Authors: Emanuel Swedenborg, Lisa Hyatt Cooper, Leonard Fox, and Donald Rose
Average review score:

All of My Questions About Hell Answered
All of my questions about Hell were addressed in this simple book. In an upfront, honest, clear, and useful manner Emanuel Swedenborg tells of the conversations that he has had with Devils and Evil Spirits. He does not try to impress, or persuade, he just informs. This book was such a relief. I expected a series of unbelievable encounters, but instead I found accounts of situations that are exlemplary of real interactions. This book is understandable. It is very true. It is helpful and uncomprimising in its integrity. I reccomend it. No matter what you believe about the afterlife, it will help you to understand many of the reasons why life is the way that it is.

A REALISTIC VIEW OF HELL
Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772)was referred to as the "scientific saint." According to a Stanford University research team, he is one of three people (Goethe and John Stuart Mill being the others) who might have had an IQ higher than Einstein. At age 56, after a brilliant scientific career, he devoted the last 30 years of his life to spiritual meditation and mediumstic trances. In what apparently were out-of-body experiences, he conversed with numerous souls in the spirit world, including many low-level spirits. For Swedenborg, evil, hell, and the devil are synonymous. When he talks of a "devil" or a "satan," he is referring to an evil spirit or one who has chosen to turn away from God.

In "Debates with Devils," Don Rose offers a compendium of what Swedenborg set forth in some 30 volumes he wrote about his findings in the spirit world. The focus in this book is on what he found in the lower realms of the spirit world. A companion book,"Conversations with Angels," focuses on the higher or heavenly realms.

Hell is not literally a place of fire, as much of orthodox religion teaches. As Swedenborg saw it, it was more a fire of the mind. The souls in this state continue to love the material more than the spiritual. "In the same degree in which angels have wisdom and intelligence, infernal spirits have malice and cunning," Swedenborg wrote. These devils use their cunning to negatively influence those still living on the earthly realms. "As soon as they detect even the smallest thing that a person loves or get a scent, so to speak, of what is delightful and precious to him, they attack it instantly and try to destroy it, and so the whole person," Swedenborg wrote.

Swedenborg says that hell is not God's revenge or punishment. Souls choose hell of their own free will. And yet, God permits them to climb out of hell into better states of mind.

The seeker who wants a view of hell that makes sense -- one that goes well beyond what orthodox religion has offered -- should read this book.
